The Dubingiai bridge across Lake Asveja is one of the few remaining wooden bridges in Lithuania. It is the first 76-meter long wooden bridge across the lake in Lithuania, which was built thanks to Lithuanian President Antanas Smetona in 1934. Before the construction of the bridge, there was a ferry across the lake and a ferryman's house, built by Count Tiškevičius. However, the bridge poles found at the bottom of Lake Asveja indicate that a bridge has been used in this place since the Middle Ages.
