Excursions are organized at the observatory, the participants of which are introduced to astronomy news of Lithuania and the world, also telescopes, amazingly beautiful color photos of planets, stars, nebulae, clusters, galaxies. The 165 cm diameter telescope, the largest scientific device in Northern Europe, is on display during the day tour.
There is also an opportunity to take a look at the night sky with the observatory's excursion telescope. The most interesting sky objects visible that night are observed. The participants of the night excursion are also introduced to the view of the night sky, the constellations and the brightest stars with the help of a special astronomical laser. For night tours, especially if you want to watch on a weekend night, you should register several weeks in advance of the desired date.
Night tours only take place in completely clear or only a little cloudy weather. Only registered visitors are accepted.
